Why add your Devices to FlatPeak

At FlatPeak a device represents a physical or a virtual appliance or system that imports (consumes) or exports electricity.

Create a FlatPeak identifier for your devices when you want to calculate their energy cost independently from total consumption at a Location or to create an import or export Schedules.

Creating a Device

You can create a device by calling create-device endpoint. You must register the Device at least one Location but can register it at multiple Locations (such as when an electric vehicle is charging at two addresses).

Metering a device and getting energy cost

Once you have created a device, you can start submitting its meter-rcords and making calls to cost-calculations API endpoints to get monetary and carbon const of energy it consumes or exports.
